Back To School Enrollment
At Brentwood Childcare Center, we are committed to providing a holistic and enriching environment for your child's preschool experience. To ensure the safety, comfort, and effective learning of each child, we have outlined essential guidelines for our Pre-school Program.
1. Naptime Comfort:
- Cots and sheets are thoughtfully provided for naptime, ensuring your child's restful experience. We kindly request that you leave blankets at home as our classrooms are consistently maintained at a comfortable temperature.
2. Personal Belongings:
- Each child is required to bring a complete set of clothes from home, contributing to a sense of personal space by placing them in your child’s cubby.
3. Limitations on Personal Items:
- For the smooth operation of our programs, personal items and toys are not to be brought from home unless requested by your child’s teacher for show-and-tell. Please ensure all items are labeled, and kindly avoid book bags or plastic bags. Instead, we encourage you to bring all necessary items directly to your child’s cubby.
4. Footwear Recommendations for Safety:
- In consideration of your child's safety, we recommend sneakers or tennis shoes while discouraging sandals, flip-flops, and jellies.
5. Field Trips Inclusion:
- Our pre-school and school-age programs include exciting field trips. Parents are required to sign blanket permission on the application form and travel and activity authorization form before each child leaves the center. Please note that children under four are not transported. Advanced notifications will be provided to parents regarding the departure time, destination, and purpose of the field trip.
6. Extra-Curricular Activities:
- With parental permission, we welcome tutoring, speech therapy, and other therapists to visit and work with your child. Our dedicated Directors at Brentwood Childcare Center are available to discuss any questions or suggestions you may have.
7. Curriculum Excellence: High Reach Learning:
- Our carefully selected curriculum, High Reach Learning, offers a unique balance of standards-based classroom support materials, family connection components, and easy-to-understand strategies. It is designed to build exciting, enriching, and compelling learning experiences for your children. Use it as a supplemental resource or as a stand-alone curriculum solution.
8. Items Brought to School:
- We kindly remind parents that Brentwood Child Care is not responsible for any items brought to school, including toys, jewelry, show-and-tell items, coats, hats, gloves, shoes, diapers, wipes, book bags, phones, or electronic devices.
9. Girls' Hair Beads Policy:
- To ensure the safety of our young students, we request parents of female students under the age of 3 to refrain from allowing them to wear beads in their hair. For children aged 3 and older, if beads are not secured and fall out, we reserve the right to request their removal.
In conclusion, we extend our sincere gratitude for choosing Brentwood Childcare Center to be a part of your child’s early years. Your trust is invaluable, and we are committed to upholding our promise of delivering excellent service, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring your child's overall well-being.
