School Age Program:
- Before and after school care and pick-up programs from AbbottCreekk, Brentwood, Fox Road, Green Elementary, East Millbrook Middle (afternoon only), Wildwood Forest, Durant Rd Elementary & Middle (afternoon only), River Bend, River Bend Middle (afternoon only), Vena Wilburn & Torch Light, please call by 2:00 pm if your child is not riding our transportation.
- We provide care for Year-Round Track Out days & Traditional Teacher Workdays, Holidays, & Early Release Days.
- Cricket Club/Summer Camp Program for children who have completed Kindergarten thru 12 years of age.
- Personal items and toys are not to be brought from home unless your child’s teacher requests a toy for show-&-tell. We are not responsible for items not labeled. Please check your child’s book bag for items that are prohibited, such as candy, gum, lipstick, lip-gloss, nail polish, liquid white-out, sharpies, lotions, perfume, deodorant, sunblock, or anything that is labeled keep out of reach of children. Please note that cell phones are to be turned off and put away in the child’s book bag upon entering our care. If you need to reach your child at that point, you may call the center.
- Any items confiscated such as outside food, toys, phones, or other electronic devices will follow this procedure, first offense: we will return the item to parent, second offense: we will keep item overnight; third offense: item will be returned after one week.
- Sneakers or tennis shoes are recommended for safety; sandals, flip-flops & jellies are discouraged.
- Field trips will be included in the pre-school and school-age programs; blanket parental permission must be signed on the application form and the travel and activity authorization form before each child leaves the center. Children under four are not transported. Parents will be notified in advance if their child/children will be leaving the premises, when and where their destinations parents will also be informed.
- Extra-Curricular Activities: With parent permission, we do allow tutoring, Speech, and other Therapists to visit and work with your child. Brentwood Childcare Center’s Director will be delighted to discuss any questions or suggestions which you may have. Please keep these guidelines handy for quick reference. - High Reach Learning is a comprehensive curriculum that provides a unique balance of standards-based classroom support materials, family connection components, and easy-to-understand strategies for putting it all together to build exciting, enriching, and compelling learning experiences for your children. Use as a supplemental resource or as a stand-alone curriculum solution.
- Brentwood Child Care is not responsible for any items brought to school, such as toys, jewelry, show & tell things, coats, hats & gloves, shoes, diapers, wipes, book bags, phones, electronic devices, etc.
TO ALL SCHOOL-AGE PARENTS
For the safety of the children we serve, we need to inform our parents of Brentwood Childcare’s policies. All children must come thru the front entrance and must be signed in. They will depart with their assigned group.
We provide transportation to the following public schools: Abbott Creek, Brentwood, Fox Road, Wildwood Forest, Millbrook Elementary, Vena Wilburn (year-round Track 1 &4), River Bend, River Bend Middle afternoon only), Durant Road (year-round/afterschool only) and East Millbrook Middle (afterschool only), Durant Road Middle (year-round/afterschool only), Green Elementary & Torch Light Academy. We do receive public school bus stops. Parents are responsible for contacting Wake County Transportation office to approve our location as a stop to ensure public transportation is current for the upcoming school year.
We do not allow students to meet the group once they have left the premises. This is how we can maintain safety and know precisely whom we left the center with.
Before School Arrival: If you are enrolled in the us before school program, you must be present by 7:25 am our bus/van departure time is 7:30 am. We do not allow our bus/van to be stopped once the children have loaded and departed from the center. You will not be able to load a child at a traffic light or at an elementary school stop. If you do not arrive at 7:25, you will not be able to drop off your child.
After School Arrival: Please notify the center by 2:00 pm if your child is not riding our bus or van. (Early release days are included in tuition.)
We do provide services for Early Release, Teacher Workdays, & Holidays
Field Trips: You will be given information about the departure time so that your child will not miss their trip. (i.e., Teacher Workdays, Holidays, Spring Break, Summer Program)
Please be mindful of any buses loading or unloading in our parking lot
Prices: Parents are responsible for the cost of each field trip.
