Back To School Enrollment
Dear Esteemed Parents,
As we embark on this exciting journey of learning and growth with your children at Brentwood Childcare Center, we would like to share some essential guidelines to ensure a safe and nurturing environment for everyone. Your cooperation in adhering to these policies is crucial for the well-being of each child and the smooth operation of our programs.
**Infant/Toddler Program:**
1. **Personal Supplies:**
- Parents are kindly requested to supply disposable diapers and baby wipes for the convenience of handling and maintaining cleanliness.
- Ensure a change of clothes is readily available for your child at all times.
2. **Sippy Cups:**
- For sanitation reasons, we kindly ask that all parents leave Sippy cups at home.
3. **Toilet Training:**
- The center will actively encourage toilet training once both the child and parents express an interest.
**Pre-school Program:**
1. **Naptime Essentials:**
- Cots and sheets are provided for naptime. Please refrain from bringing blankets, as classrooms are maintained at a comfortable temperature.
2. **Personal Belongings:**
- Each child is required to bring a complete set of clothes from home, stored in their cubby.
- Personal items and toys should not be brought from home unless requested by your child’s teacher for show-and-tell. We are not responsible for items lacking proper labeling. Please avoid bringing book bags or plastic bags; instead, place belongings directly in your child’s cubby.
3. **Footwear Recommendations:**
- For safety reasons, we recommend sneakers or tennis shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, and jellies are discouraged.
4. **Extra-Curricular Activities:**
- With parental permission, we welcome tutoring, speech therapy, and other therapists to visit and work with your child. Feel free to discuss any questions or suggestions with our Director.
5. **Gratitude and Commitment:**
- Brentwood Childcare Center expresses heartfelt gratitude for choosing us to be a part of your child’s early years. We promise to uphold our commitment to providing excellent service and fostering a positive learning environment.
6. **Selected Curriculum: High Reach Learning:**
- Our carefully selected curriculum, High Reach Learning, is designed to offer a comprehensive, standards-based approach that includes classroom support materials, family connection components, and user-friendly strategies to create enriching learning experiences for your children.
7. **Items Brought to School:**
- We kindly remind parents that Brentwood Child Care is not responsible for any items brought to school, including toys, jewelry, show-and-tell items, coats, hats, gloves, shoes, diapers, wipes, book bags, phones, or electronic devices.
8. **Girls’ Hair Beads Policy:**
- For the safety of our young students, we kindly request that girls under the age of 3 refrain from wearing beads in their hair. For children aged 3 and older, if beads are not secured and fall out, we reserve the right to request their removal.
Your understanding and cooperation in following these guidelines contribute significantly to creating a secure and positive learning environment for all children at Brentwood Childcare Center. We appreciate your trust and look forward to a wonderful journey of growth and discovery with your little ones.
